Celebrity trainer Mark Jenkins gives us the exclusive on the latest in fitness trends and living well.
What's Hot in Fitness?
The Trinity maximizes the effectiveness of your training, and when used properly, almost guarantees results. The Trinity is a wellness team that usually consists of a doctor, a nutritionist or chef and a trainer working together to get you in the best shape of your life in the shortest amount of time possible.
After meeting the client and discussing fitness goals, I instruct the client to get a complete blood work panel. With the results, the doctor analyses vitamin/ mineral deficiencies and cortisol and cholestrol levels, then recommends foods and/or supplements to replenish these deficiencies. A nutritionist then develops a diet to include foods that contain the nutrients the client lacks. The trainer can then design and implement a customized training program that he or she knows will yield results.
Diet and rest are the two most important factors in any training program. If the client is not eating or resting properly, the body can't recover and adapt to the exercise. It's not important how hard you work but more so how much training you can recover from. Overtraining and under training are the two biggest reasons why many who workout don't get results. The trinity not only educates the client about fitness, but it also eliminates guesswork and allows the trainer to honestly estimate a date as to when the client will be transformed. How hot is that? Questions or comments…. Shoot me an email at www.infitness.com.
Until next time…train hard!
